Description

Manage and maintain IBM CICS and Message Queuing environments on z/OS platforms, owning system stability, performance tuning, and incident resolution.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Install, customize, upgrade, and patch CICS and MQ software, including executing installation jobs and scripts.
• Diagnose and resolve system abends and abnormal operating problems using system logs, traces, dumps, and monitoring tools.
• Perform system-wide performance tuning, capacity planning, and SMF configuration/SMS policy maintenance.
• Manage z/OS incidents, perform IPLs, and conduct disaster recovery exercises.
• Execute database migrations, application software upgrades, and hardware/software configuration changes.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in mainframe administration.
• Hands-on experience with the z/OS operating system.
• Proficiency in managing IBM CICS.
• Proficiency in managing IBM Message Queuing (MQ).
• Experience with ACF2 security maintenance.
• Ability to manage parmlib maintenance and system parameters.
• Experience creating and maintaining backup processing for CICS and MQ.
