Description

You will coordinate mainframe application scheduling and code promotion across production, test, and development environments.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement changes to production, test, and development schedules.
• Execute code promotions across all environment tiers, including interactions with open systems and external vendors.
• Review recent batch runs for completeness and correctness, resolving file transfer issues and arranging restarts or reruns.
• Collaborate with application programmers during pre-production development to plan production schedules.

Required Skills

• 3-5 years of IT experience in production control or equivalent training.
• Proficiency with Enterprise Job Scheduling products such as ESP or Tivoli.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• BS or BA in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with life insurance enterprise products (Ingenium, Life70, IDM, AWD).
• ITIL Foundation certificate.
