Description

You will develop and support applications within a mainframe environment, owning the full SDLC from requirements to deployment.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Analyze technical problems independently to determine root causes.
• Collaborate with users to gather and define functional requirements.
• Manage all phases of the software development lifecycle.
• Execute testing protocols to ensure application stability and performance.
• Share technical knowledge and maintain comprehensive documentation.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in application development or support.
• 7+ years of hands-on development using COBOL, DB2, JCL, and CICS.
• Proficiency in mainframe environment operations.
• Experience working through the full SDLC.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Skills

• Prior experience within the railroad industry.
