Description

You will develop and maintain applications within an IBM mainframe environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and debug code using Assembler, COBOL, and PL/1.
  • Write and optimize SQL, including COBOL and Native stored procedures.
  • Manage data and batch processes using JCL and IBM utilities.
  • Utilize version control and development tools to maintain code integrity.
  • Make independent, fact-based technical decisions to solve complex problems.

Required Skills

  • 12+ years of IBM mainframe experience.
  • Proficiency in COBOL and PL/1 programming languages.
  • Strong Assembler programming and debugging skills.
  • Advanced SQL skills and experience with DB2.
  • Experience developing both COBOL and Native stored procedures.
  • Hands-on experience with JCL and CICS.
  • Experience with IBM utilities, FileAid, QMF, and SPUFI.
  • Knowledge of DFSORT and version control tools.
  • Experience with GitHub, IDz, and Microsoft Visio.

Preferred Skills

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
