Description

You will maintain existing codebases, develop new applications, and enhance computer systems in Omaha, NE.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance applications using COBOL II/COBOL 390 and DB2.
• Write complex SQL queries and perform performance tuning for execution speed.
• Conduct unit testing and provide ongoing system testing support.
• Manage daily programming, testing, and defect tracking tasks.
• Balance new development projects with production support and maintenance.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in mainframe application development.
• Proficiency in COBOL II/COBOL 390.
• Strong expertise in DB2 and SQL.
• Experience with CICS and TSO.
• Hands-on use of Abend-AID and File-AID.
• Experience with QMF and Xpediter.
• Competency with IDCAMS.
• Ability to work within standard software development lifecycles, including source control and bug tracking.
