Description
You will develop, maintain, and enhance mainframe applications while balancing new development with production support.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain applications using COBOL II/COBOL 390.
- Write complex SQL queries and perform performance tuning for DB2 execution efficiency.
- Execute unit testing and support system testing tasks.
- Manage production support, defect tracking, and daily programming analysis.
Required Skills
- 5+ years of experience in mainframe application development.
- Proficiency in COBOL II/COBOL 390.
- Strong experience with DB2 and SQL.
- Hands-on experience with CICS and TSO.
- Experience using Abend-AID, File-AID, and Xpediter.
- Competency with QMF, IDCAMS, and Syncsort.
- Familiarity with sFTP and NDM (Network Data Mover).
Preferred Skills
- Ability to work within professional software development lifecycles, including source control and bug tracking.
