Description

You will develop, maintain, and enhance mainframe applications while balancing new development with production support.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain applications using COBOL II/COBOL 390.
• Write complex SQL queries and perform performance tuning for DB2 execution efficiency.
• Execute unit testing and support system testing tasks.
• Manage production support, defect tracking, and daily programming analysis.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in mainframe application development.
• Proficiency in COBOL II/COBOL 390.
• Strong experience with DB2 and SQL.
• Hands-on experience with CICS and TSO.
• Experience using Abend-AID, File-AID, and Xpediter.
• Competency with QMF, IDCAMS, and Syncsort.
• Familiarity with sFTP and NDM (Network Data Mover).

Preferred Skills

• Ability to work within professional software development lifecycles, including source control and bug tracking.
