Description

You will manage and support mainframe applications within a production environment.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and alter existing job schedules and create new jobs using CA7.
• Manage software development life cycle (SDLC) processes and enforce code quality practices.
• Integrate complex systems and manage deployment through CI/CD pipelines.
• Execute database commands, functions, and stored procedures within DB2 subsystems.
• Communicate technical requirements and provide service to internal and external customers.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in software development, architecture, and requirements definition.
• Deep knowledge of CA7, CICS, DFHSM, FTP, HMC, ISPF, JCL, JES2, NDM, NET MON, OPS MVS, SAR, TMON, TIVOLI, TPX, AFP, TSO, MVES Utilities, CLIST, and REXX.
• Proficiency in programming languages including JavaScript, C, and Python.
• Experience with DB2 control tables, subsystems, and stored procedures.
• Working knowledge of SQL, Oracle, MongoDB, and PostgreSQL.
• Familiarity with cloud technologies such as AWS and Azure.
• Understanding of CI/CD, TDD, BDD, and agile methodologies.
• Competency in base UNIX and Windows commands and structures.

Preferred Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or Computer Science.
• 9 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
