Description

You will design, optimize, and manage mainframe computer systems to support core business processes.

Responsibilities

• Architect mainframe systems to meet performance, scalability, and security requirements.
• Forecast resource needs and recommend hardware and software upgrades through capacity planning.
• Monitor systems for bottlenecks and implement tuning strategies for batch and online transaction processing.
• Implement security measures and disaster recovery solutions to ensure high availability and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with application developers, DBAs, and network engineers to integrate mainframe systems with existing infrastructure.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience working with mainframe systems in a senior or architect role.
• In-depth knowledge of z/OS operating systems.
• Hands-on experience with CICS and DB2.
• Proven expertise in mainframe hardware and software configurations.
• Strong proficiency in performance tuning and capacity planning.
• Deep understanding of security protocols and compliance standards.
• Ability to develop high availability and disaster recovery solutions.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Preferred Skills

• IBM Certified System Administrator certification.
• Advanced degree in a technical field.
