Description

You will design, maintain, and enhance mainframe-based applications and systems in Erlanger, KY.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize applications using COBOL, PLI, Assembler, or REXX.
• Manage mainframe databases (DB2, IMS DB, IDMS) to ensure data integrity and performance.
• Monitor batch job scheduling systems (CA7, ControlM) and resolve execution issues.
• Translate business requirements into technical designs, performing system analysis and debugging.
• Execute system migrations, upgrades, patching, and capacity planning with infrastructure teams.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in mainframe application development and architecture.
• Proficiency in COBOL, PLI, Assembler, and REXX.
• Hands-on experience managing DB2, IMS DB, or IDMS databases.
• Experience with batch job scheduling tools such as CA7 or ControlM.
• Ability to perform system testing, implementation, and technical documentation.
• Knowledge of system migration, upgrading, and patching processes.
• Experience with performance tuning and capacity planning.
