Description

You will lead the design, implementation, and management of z/OS system architecture and mainframe operations.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain IBM z/OS, SMP/E, JES2, RACF, and SMF.
• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of system programmers, administrators, and production control professionals.
• Provide technical guidance on mainframe storage, networking, security, automation, and capacity planning.
• Drive root cause analysis and resolution for complex system issues and outages.
• Oversee z/OS version upgrades, z/OS MF, and hardware upgrades including VTU and IODF/IOCP.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in mainframe architecture and z/OS system administration.
• Deep expertise in IBM Z architecture and workload management (WLM).
• Proficiency with DB2, IMS, CICS, MQ, WAS, and RACF.
• Experience with Production Control and Scheduling using IWS (TWS) and JOBTRAC.
• Knowledge of Automation tools including IBM SA and CA OPS/MVS.
• Hands-on experience with system-level debugging and performance tuning.
• Strong understanding of storage, networking, and disaster recovery best practices.
