Description

You will lead the architectural strategy and technical support for North Carolina Child Support Services applications during maintenance, enhancement, and modernization phases.

Responsibilities

• Manage application upgrades and architecture support for both mainframe and web-based systems.
• Lead modernization efforts for Child Support applications, focusing on data encryption and system transitions.
• Ensure all applications meet IRS 1075 requirements and assist with regular IRS reviews and mitigations.
• Perform database administration and provide technical support for CICS and Telon modules.
• Direct effort management for software enhancements spanning mainframe and web environments.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in mainframe architecture and management.
• Expertise in DB2 (Z/OS) application programming and DBA functions.
• Proficiency with Telon for development of online CICS/Cobol/DB2 modules.
• Hands-on experience with Cobol, CICS, JCL, DB2, Zeke, and X/PTR.
• Knowledge of structured system development methodologies, specifically the waterfall method.
• Understanding of Child Support business processes.
• Experience with web application technologies including Java, WebSphere, and Windows server.
• Ability to plan and implement modernization technologies for data encryption.

Preferred Skills

• Experience supporting large-scale government or Child Support service applications.
