Description

You will design and manage large-scale mainframe infrastructure and migration projects.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Lead mainframe hardware migrations, including the configuration of IOCP, IODF, and HCD.
• Plan and build new mainframe infrastructure services and manage storage and tape library migrations.
• Analyze system performance to perform tuning and optimization for resource usage.
• Manage and optimize workloads on IBM mainframe systems using Workload Management.
• Implement mainframe security protocols, including RACF and cryptographic techniques to protect sensitive data.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience as a Mainframe Administrator and 5+ years as an Architect.
• Extensive experience with Mainframe hardware migration and configuration.
• Deep knowledge of CICS and MQ.
• Proficiency in Mainframe network technology including VTAM, TCP/IP, routing, switching, and network protocols.
• Strong analytical skills for complex data analysis and problem-solving.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Experience with Mainframe storage and tape library migration.

Preferred Skills

• Proficiency in COBOL, JCL, and Assembler.
• Knowledge of database management systems including DB2 and VSAM.
