Description

You will design and oversee complex mainframe infrastructure solutions, ensuring system performance, security, and reliability.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Migrate mainframe hardware and configure IOCP, IODF, and HCD.
• Plan and build new infrastructure services, including storage and tape library migrations.
• Optimize system performance by analyzing usage patterns and adjusting resources.
• Manage and optimize workloads on IBM mainframe systems.
• Apply mainframe security protocols, including RACF, for data protection.

Required Skills

• 10+ years experience as a Mainframe Administrator and 5+ years as an Architect.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Expertise in CICS and MQ.
• Proficiency in Mainframe network technology (VTAM, TCP/IP routing/switching).
• Familiarity with database management systems: DB2 and VSAM.
• Familiarity with programming languages: COBOL, JCL, Assembler.
• Understanding of mainframe cryptography and security best practices.
• Ability to lead and facilitate Scrum ceremonies.

Preferred Skills

• Strong knowledge of Mainframe technologies and best practices.
