Description

Lead architectural design and strategy for Cobol upgrade projects.

Responsibilities

• Define technical strategy for migrating Cobol from lower versions to V5/V6.
• Configure upgrade environments, including compiler options and system settings.
• Lead onsite teams and coordinate technical execution with offshore resources.
• Develop test strategies for system, QA, and UAT phases.
• Provide technical guidance and deliver status reports to customer SMEs.

Required Skills

• 12+ years of experience in Mainframe architecture and design.
• Expertise in Cobol, DB2, JCL, VSAM, and CICS.
• Proven experience managing Cobol upgrades to V5 or V6.
• Experience executing projects within an Agile framework.
• Ability to provide implementation support and direct technical guidance.
• Strong written and oral communication skills for customer interaction.
• Any Graduate degree.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Easytrieve and Rexx.
