Description

Develop and maintain complex mainframe applications within a financial services context. You will own the lifecycle of system applications, from development to production support.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance system applications using Assembler and COBOL.
• Support production environments, including on-call availability as required.
• Mentor less experienced team members by answering technical questions and teaching improved processes.
• Recommend strategies to improve existing system applications and internal business processes.
• Work independently with IT and business units to deliver solutions for complex projects.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of related IT experience.
• Recent professional experience working with Assembler.
• Proficiency in COBOL, DB2, and MQ.
• Working knowledge of CICS and Mainframe infrastructure.
• Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Math, or equivalent experience.
• Experience in Credit/Debit or Financial industry domains.
• Strong understanding of application development methodologies and tools.

Preferred Skills

• Experience using Intertest.
• Knowledge of emerging technologies.
