Responsibilities

• Design, code, and test application programs using IBM Assembler.
• Debug and troubleshoot mainframe applications for correct and efficient function.
• Translate system requirements into efficient, low-level machine code.
• Document design and usage guidelines for assembler programs.
• Provide technical support to optimize performance and ensure coding standard compliance.

Required Skills

• 12+ years of professional experience.
• Proficiency in IBM Assembler.
• Deep knowledge of mainframe operating systems, specifically z/OS.
• Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Experience collaborating with architects and analysts.

Preferred Skills

• Experience optimizing mainframe system performance.
