You design, develop, and maintain automation solutions across mainframe environments to reduce manual effort and ensure operational stability.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design automation for monitoring, recovery, and batch optimization within mainframe systems.
• Develop self-healing automation and WTOR/command automation using event-driven triggers.
• Ensure all solutions comply with audit, SOX/ISO controls, and security standards.
• Implement operational workflows using Rexx, CLIST, and JCL.
• Troubleshoot complex mainframe operational problems and manage artifact capture.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of Mainframe System Programming experience focused on automation.
• Proficiency in Rexx, CLIST, JCL, and IBM Workload Scheduler (IWS/TWS).
• Strong knowledge of z/OS subsystems: DB2, IMS, CICS, MQ, and JES2/3.
• Experience with mainframe DevOps workflows and Git for version control.
• Understanding of audit, SOX/ISO controls, and compliance requirements.
• Ability to implement command automation and event-driven triggers on z/OS.

Preferred Skills

• Exposure to Ansible for z/OS or similar automation frameworks.
• Knowledge of REST APIs for integration with enterprise automation tools.
