Description

You will monitor, analyze, and report mainframe processing capacity using data science principles.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Collect and validate system resource and business volume data for capacity analysis.
• Execute ARIMA forecasts and linear/logistic regression to integrate projections with forecast data.
• Manage daily processing and reporting for 30 MICS units, including SMF/RMF, CICS, DB2, MQ, and mainframe web logs.
• Generate monthly capacity reports using descriptive and inferential statistics, correlation analysis, and pattern recognition.
• Maintain MICS to support new processors, z/OS operating system updates, and general maintenance.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in mainframe capacity planning or related roles.
• Proficiency with SAS software in both mainframe and distributed environments.
• Strong mathematics background in descriptive and inferential statistics.
• Knowledge of CICS, DB2, and MQ infrastructure components.
• Ability to perform pattern recognition and outlier detection on large datasets.
• Bachelor’s Degree.
