Description

You will design, code, and unit test mainframe applications using CICS and MQ, ensuring high quality and performance within Agile SDLC frameworks.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain CICS and MQ applications using COBOL, JCL, and DB2.
• Perform system analysis and design in accordance with established procedures and policies.
• Write well-documented, effective programs following department coding standards.
• Provide accurate time estimates for work completion and proactively explore system requirements.
• Collaborate with the team using Jira and Confluence to deliver results with minimal supervision.

Required Skills

• Strong hands-on experience in CICS and MQ.
• Proficiency in COBOL, JCL, DB2, and VSAM for batch processing.
• Experience with Agile methodology and full SDLC.
• Practical working knowledge of Jira, Confluence, and MS Office.
• Ability to design, code, and unit test software on predefined schedules.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in mainframe application development.
• Excellent oral, written, and listening communication skills.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of J2EE, Webservices, and cloud-based applications (preferably AWS) interacting with mainframes.
• Domain knowledge in Retail Banking or Lending.
