Description

You own the engineering, system maintenance, and operational functions for Mainframe CICS.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and operate CICS within a 24x7 large-scale Sysplex and CICSPlex environment.
• Tune CICS performance, perform debugging, and conduct dump analysis.
• Interface between application developers and operations teams regarding CICS issues.
• Support the CICS environment through on-call maintenance outside of standard hours.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in CICS environments.
• Deep knowledge of CICS performance tuning and debugging.
• Experience with CICSPlex SM implementation and customization.
• Proficiency with CICS monitoring tools, specifically Sysview.
• Knowledge of SMP/E, software upgrades, and maintenance processes.
• Familiarity with CICS parameters controlling performance in a CICSPlex.
• Knowledge of COBOL to support application developers.
• Experience with Mainframe Websphere MQ.
• Bachelor's degree required.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with REXX, APF, Linklist, VSAM, LPA, RLS, and Coupling Facility.
