Description

You will manage and maintain CICS transaction servers and related mainframe infrastructure to ensure operational targets are met.

Responsibilities

• Install, upgrade, and maintain CICS Transaction Servers, zCEE, CICS PA, and vendor products like CAFC.
• Tune CICS web services, CICSplex System Manager, JVM servers, and Angels to meet performance targets.
• Identify performance bottlenecks and implement administrative solutions using system diagnostics.
• Resolve incidents and requests within SLAs using ServiceNow or BMC Remedy.
• Support 24/7 client systems through planned rotational weekend shifts.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in Mainframe CICS Administration.
• Hands-on experience with CICS SSL setup and troubleshooting.
• Deep understanding of CICS Application Architecture (CMAS, MRO, and Non-MRO).
• Proficiency with monitoring tools such as OmegaMon, Sysview, or Mainview.
• Experience using Fault Analyzer and CICS PA for problem resolution.
• Working knowledge of z/OS Job Control Language (JCL).
• Ability to interpret and utilize assembler output listings.
• Knowledge of System z communications and Systems Network Architecture (SNA) concepts.
• Experience troubleshooting connections from DataPower, WAS, and Java.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with disaster recovery (DR) documentation and operational procedures.
