Description

You will administer and maintain critical CICS and MQ environments on z/OS.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Administer CICS, including product installation, configuration, and ISV upgrades.
• Manage CICS region builds, resource definitions (online and batch), and initialization parameters.
• Perform CICS and MQ version upgrades, patch application, and security administration.
• Monitor, tune, and troubleshoot system-related issues and application-specific problems in CICS and MQ.
• Maintain MQ objects, manage WebSphere MQ resources, and manage connections via the CICS adapter.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience administering CICS and MQ on z/OS.
• Expertise in CICS product installation, upgrades, and patch application.
• Mandatory knowledge of CICSPlex concepts.
• Mandatory knowledge of MQ sharing concepts.
• Experience defining and monitoring MQ objects and managing MQ region builds.
• Proficiency in CICS administration, including resource definition and security.
• Skills in performance monitoring and tuning for both CICS and MQ.
• Experience with MQ product upgrades and maintenance.
• Familiarity with 24x7 support procedures.
