Description

You will manage the installation, configuration, maintenance, and optimization of the CICS environment on IBM Mainframe platforms (z/OS).

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Ensure high availability, performance, and security of CICS regions.
• Troubleshoot complex system issues and support application development teams.
• Upgrade, install, and support IBM and ISV related products.
• Develop and maintain procedures for system utilities, including backup/restore and performance tuning.
• Execute P2V, V2V, and P2P migrations.

Required Skills

• 8 to 14 years of experience in CICS system programming.
• Proficiency in Z/OS, Unix, REXX, Java, VSAM, and CICS System Programming.
• Experience with CICS transaction server and related ISV products.
• Experience with performance tuning and workload balancing in CICS.
• Familiarity with CICS monitoring tools (Omegamon for CICS, BMC MainView, IBM CICS Performance Analyzer).
• Knowledge of RACF, ACF2, or Top Secret security administration for CICS.
• Basic knowledge of SMP/E and third-party products.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with P2V, V2V, and P2P migrations.
