Description

You will manage and optimize CICS environments within a mainframe architecture.

Responsibilities

• Manage CICS performance tuning using CICSPlex parameters and the CICS Performance Analyzer tool.
• Execute software upgrades and maintenance tasks using SMP/E.
• Implement and customize CICSPlex SM, including dynamic transaction routing.
• Perform problem determination, dump analysis, and performance tuning.
• Support application developers through COBOL knowledge and web application support in CICS TS V5.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience as a CICS Systems Programmer or Engineer.
• Deep understanding of CICS SMF record structures.
• Experience with Sysview monitoring tools.
• Proficiency with Mainframe WebSphere MQ.
• Knowledge of z/OS facilities including APF, Linklist, VSAM, LPA, and Coupling Facility.
• Experience with CICS Interdependency Analyzer.
• Working knowledge of z/OS and CICS Explorer.
• Technical proficiency in COBOL, APF, Linklist, VSAM, LPA, CICS, and Adabas.
