Description

You will design, develop, test, and deploy mainframe applications in Cedar Rapids, IA.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop mainframe applications using COBOL and Assembler.
• Manage data structures and queries using DB2, VSAM, and SQL.
• Execute and monitor batch jobs using JCL and SDSF.
• Integrate mainframe systems with SOA services.
• Utilize File Manager, IMS, and Fault Analyzer for debugging and maintenance.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in mainframe development.
• Proficiency in COBOL and Assembler.
• Strong knowledge of JCL, DB2, and VSAM.
• Experience with SQL and IMS DBDC.
• Hands-on experience with TSO/ISPF, Endevor, and SDSF.
• Practical use of File Manager, IMS utility, and DB2 utility.
• Experience with Fault Analyzer and IBM tools.
• Knowledge of TABLE BASE and IF.
• Ability to work within Agile methodologies using Jira and Confluence.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with CyberLife or DXC Cots products.
• Insurance domain knowledge.
