Description

You will develop and maintain core banking systems within a z/OS environment.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Create general system designs and technical specifications for new and existing programs.
• Develop maintainable, defect-free code that aligns with defined specifications.
• Provide accurate estimates for programming efforts and identify potential technical risks.
• Mentor developers, support, and QA teams on product architecture and problem resolution.
• Provide L2/L3 production support and review deliverables with offshore counterparts.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of hands-on experience with Mainframe COBOL.
• Proficiency in DB2, SAS, and JCL within a z/OS environment.
• Experience with the full project life cycle, including analysis, design, and implementation.
• Hands-on experience using IBM Debug tool for z/OS, IBM Fault Analyzer, and IBM File Manager.
• Experience with IBM Application Performance Analyzer and SPUFI.
• Strong ability to perform in-depth evaluation of complex data and variable factors.
• Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

• Domain knowledge within the banking industry.
