Key Responsibilities

Develop, maintain, and enhance COBOL applications within IBM Mainframe environments.

Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into effective application solutions.

Modify and support existing legacy systems to accommodate new business needs and system enhancements.

Conduct impact analysis, coding, unit testing, integration testing, and production deployments.

Troubleshoot and resolve application defects, production issues, and performance challenges.

Support batch processing operations, job scheduling, and production support activities.

Collaborate with business analysts, QA teams, developers, and infrastructure teams throughout the development lifecycle.

Participate in code reviews and ensure compliance with development standards and best practices.

Create and maintain technical documentation for applications and system changes.

Provide ongoing support for mission-critical applications and operational processes.

Required Qualifications

Strong hands-on experience developing and maintaining applications using COBOL on IBM Mainframe platforms.

Experience working with large-scale enterprise and legacy systems.

Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

Proven ability to debug, troubleshoot, and optimize COBOL applications.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ability to quickly learn existing systems and contribute with minimal supervision.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to work effectively both independently and within a collaborative team environment
