Description

You will perform coding changes to COBOL and ADS programs supporting MEDICAID services MMIS and MEDS Teams.

Responsibilities

• Code changes to COBOL and ADS programs using IDMS Network or Relational Database based on technical and design specifications.
• Debug, unit test, and integration test all coding changes.
• Support Quality Assurance staff by making necessary coding changes during QA, UAT, and External Testing.
• Communicate technical information clearly in both written and spoken formats with internal and contracted staff.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in Mainframe environments.
• Proficiency with MVS COBOL programming.
• Expertise in writing and executing JCL.
• Experience with IDMS Network or IDMS Relational Database.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Effective written and oral communication.
• Ability to work effectively under stressful conditions.
• Self-motivation and time management.
