Description

You will design, write, and maintain mainframe applications and enhancements using COBOL, CICS, ADABAS, VSAM, and IBM JCL.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Develop complex automated solutions and translate business requirements into technical specifications.
• Analyze, debug, and resolve defects in existing applications and troubleshoot nightly batch processing issues.
• Complete unit and system testing to ensure application quality and performance.
• Monitor application performance and implement improvements.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in mainframe development.
• Proficiency in COBOL and CICS programming.
• Experience with VSAM and ADABAS databases.
• Expertise in IBM JCL.
• Knowledge of ITIL processes and IT SDLC methodologies.
• Ability to write detailed technical specifications and work plans.
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
