Good to Have Skills: RACF provisioning exposure and experience working in a global software enterprise environment would be beneficial for this role.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Follow BMC procedures and documentation required for error-free execution of data center functions.
• Initialize systems and perform IPL (Initial Program Load) of z/OS and z/VM systems.
• Ensure all logs and check-off lists are completed and accurate to provide detailed information for continued operations.
• Notify appropriate personnel for unsuccessful completion of jobs or tasks based on error messages and documentation.
• Perform tape management functions according to established procedures and best practices.
• Recognize and resolve critical operational problems in mainframe environment efficiently and effectively.
• Report and document any observed deviations from standard performance to Lead Operator or technical support staff immediately.
• Function as Level 1 technical support for mainframe users and provide timely assistance.
• Provide after-hours technical support by documenting and escalating calls appropriately to ensure resolution.
• Remain calm, cordial, and effective during the resolution of time-critical system interruptions and failures.
• Provide good teamwork by expressing collaborative attitude and sharing technical knowledge with team members.

Experience Required: Minimum 3 years of experience in mainframe console operation with proficiency in z/OS and VM system operations. Must have experience in incident management and be available for 24x7 on-call support with rotating shifts
