Description

You will design, develop, and maintain mainframe-based payment card systems and legacy processes. This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design, code, and unit test mainframe applications, ensuring compliance with Reg-Z, SOX, and PCI-DSS.
• Manage the full payment card lifecycle, including authorization, processing, clearing, and settlement.
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications for card systems.
• Troubleshoot and debug code to optimize application performance and resolve technical issues.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with COBOL, JCL, CICS, VSAM, and DB2.
• Deep understanding of the payment card lifecycle and international/domestic payment schemes.
• Experience with mainframe card platforms such as VisionPlus, FDR, or TSYS.
• Proficiency in business process mapping and modeling tools.
• Familiarity with Agile frameworks and agile-based delivery in mainframe environments.
• Ability to execute unit test scenarios to ensure code quality and reliability.
• Knowledge of ACH/SWIFT messaging standards.

Preferred Skills

• Prior experience specifically within the Payments or Cards domain.
