Description

Consult on mainframe systems utilizing COBOL, CICS, and DB2.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and debug applications using COBOL.
• Manage and execute jobs using IBM OS/JCL (MVS).
• Develop and maintain database logic using IBM DB2 and Stored Procedures.
• Perform system testing in collaboration with users.
• Produce and maintain strong technical documentation.

Required Skills

• 12+ years of IT experience.
• Proficiency in COBOL coding.
• Experience with IBM systems and JCL (MVS).
• Strong skills in CICS for coding, testing, and debugging.
• Expertise in IBM DB2 and writing Stored Procedures.
• Experience with usability and system testing.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with IDMS to DB2 conversion.
• Experience with IDMS/DC to CICS conversion.
