Description

You will provide technical expertise in COBOL application development and system documentation within a hybrid onsite model in Dimondale, Michigan.

Responsibilities

• Develop COBOL applications and write detailed technical design documents.
• Gather requirements using both waterfall and agile methodologies to build requested IT solutions.
• Manage change control processes by validating Local and Enterprise Change Board documents.
• Execute secure coding, release management, and defect tracking to facilitate problem resolution.
• Validate test data and results while providing accurate project and work estimations.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in mainframe development and application design.
• Proficiency in COBOL application development.
• Experience writing and modifying system documentation.
• Ability to perform secure coding and release management.
• Strong technical communication skills for explaining complex information to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience with project/work estimation and data capture software.
• Ability to work independently and lead meetings or special project committees.
• Any Graduate degree.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Xgen, Algol, Unisys, Bl products, Programmer’s Workbench, Cande, DMSII, COMS, WFL, or ERGO.
