Description

You will specialize in mainframe systems development, support, and technical design.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Analyze requirements and develop or review technical designs for mainframe solutions.
• Guide and mentor the team while contributing code as needed.
• Conduct reviews of designs, code, test plans, and test results.
• Plan and execute testing strategies, including validation and random testing.
• Interact with clients to provide project updates and resolve delivery issues.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of mainframe development and support experience.
• Proficiency in COBOL, JCL, VSAM, and DB2.
• Experience with MVS operating systems.
• Strong understanding of Control Management and mainframe job scheduling.
• Solid understanding of system architecture and mainframe workflows.
• Ability to analyze, design, and optimize mainframe batch and online processes.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of Catalog Operations for data set management.
• Experience with database tuning and schema design.
