Description
You will manage technical administration for Mainframe DB2 and IMS environments.
Manage BAU service delivery, including Major Incidents (P1), standard service requests, changes, and problem tickets.
Execute database administration tasks including installation, upgrades, patching, configuration, and capacity planning.
Perform backup, recovery, cloning, and Point In Time Recovery (PITR) to ensure 99.99% system availability.
Optimize performance through query analysis, physical/logical design, and application-specific tuning.
Responsibilities

- Execute database administration tasks including installation, upgrades, patching, configuration, and capacity planning.

- Optimize performance through query analysis, physical/logical design, and application-specific tuning.
Required Skills
- 5+ years of experience in Mainframe DB2 (v11, v12) and IMS (v13, v15) administration on z/OS.
- Proficiency with Datacom, IMS internals, and Parallel Sysplex Data Sharing setups.
- Expertise in DBA utilities including Unload, Load, DSNJU003, DSNJU004, Reorg, Runstats, and image copy.
- Strong knowledge of REXX, CLIST, JCL, JES, and Assembler.
- Experience with CICS v5.5, Mainframe MQ v9, and SMP/E for ISV tool installation and migration.
- Hands-on experience with SYSVIEW, OmegaMon, AdminTool, and Datacom utilities.
- Ability to write, modify, and debug complex database-specific SQL queries.
- Experience managing database security and access through RACF.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with CA-IDEAL and CA-DQRY user management and area table maintenance.
