Description

You will design and manage mainframe database environments, storage configurations, and security architectures.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and initialize storage devices for database operations.
• Manage and customize storage spaces using Oracle management software.
• Migrate and convert data to optimize system performance and security.
• Customize databases to meet specific architectural and security requirements.

Required Skills

• 3+ years of experience with IBM Information Management System (IMS) software.
• Experience with Oracle management software for storage customization.
• Proven track record in data migration and conversion processes.
• Strong background in DBA tasks and data modeling.
• Experience in storage device preparation and initialization.
• Ability to enhance database performance and security through customization.

Preferred Skills

• IBM iMS Systems Programmer Certification or IBM DB2 Systems Programmer Certification.
• IBM Certified Deployment Professional – Maximo Manage.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
