Description

You will manage and maintain Mainframe DB2 database systems on z/OS, ensuring stability and performance across critical infrastructure.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Install, upgrade, patch, and configure DB2 systems.
• Perform operations and capacity planning for DB2 and VSAM.
• Set up and maintain Data Sharing in a Parallel Sysplex environment.
• Execute DBA utilities including Unload, Load, DSNJU003, DSNJU004, Reorg, Runstats, and image copy.
• Write, modify, and debug database-specific SQL queries.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience with Mainframe Db2 v12/v13 System Administration.
• Proficiency in DB2, VSAM Systems, and Performance Tuning.
• Experience with ACF2/RACF and CICS v5.5.
• Knowledge of Mainframe MQ v9.
• Familiarity with SMPE and ISV tool installation and migration.
• Proficiency in SQL, Rexx, Clist, JCL, and JES.
• Experience with Application related performance tuning.
• Knowledge of Assembler.
