Description

You will manage DB2 databases across development and production lifecycles.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Create and execute DDL/DCL to manage DB2 database structures.
• Perform maintenance using DB2 Utilities including COPY, REORG, MODIFY, and RECOVER.
• Monitor and tune DB2 database performance for optimal efficiency.
• Maintain security procedures across all DB2 databases.
• Mentor junior staff and provide technical support to development resources.

Required Skills

• 11+ years of experience in database administration.
• Expertise in DB2 Databases and z/OS systems.
• Proficiency with DDL and DCL commands.
• Hands-on experience with DB2 Utilities (COPY, REORG, MODIFY, RECOVER).
• Ability to support a 24x7 on-call rotation.
• Collaborate with DB2 z/OS System support staff on installation and upgrades.
• Apply changes during non-peak hours as required.
