Description

You will support enterprise z/OS environments as a Mainframe DB2 System Programmer.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Install and upgrade DB2 using SMP/E or z/OSMF.
• Customize BMC DB2 Utilities and MainView.
• Resolve performance issues in collaboration with Application DBAs.
• Lead DB2 V13 deployments and define system standards.
• Support multi-data center setups, ensuring high availability and disaster recovery.

Required Skills

• 16+ years of DB2 systems programming experience on z/OS.
• Strong hands-on experience with SMP/E, TSO/ISPF, and IBM utilities.
• Experience with BMC tools and Sysplex.
• Proficiency in DB2 installs, PTF application, tuning, and system support.
• Experience with Oracle/SQL.
• Familiarity with Z/vm and Linux environments.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with CICS 5.6+.
• Experience with DB2 V13 via z/OSMF.
