Description

You will design, develop, and maintain high-volume IMS DB/DC and DB2 database systems within a large enterprise banking environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and optimize IMS DB/DC and DB2 database architectures for transaction processing and system integration.
• Develop and maintain COBOL programs that interact with IMS and DB2 systems.
• Manage JCL for batch jobs, data loads, backups, and recovery procedures.
• Tune performance for high-volume transaction environments to ensure data integrity and system stability.
• Handle REORG operations, recovery planning, and capacity management.

Required Skills

• 15+ years of experience in Mainframe development, specifically with IMS DB/DC and DB2.
• Strong expertise in COBOL programming for mainframe environments.
• Proficiency in JCL for batch job management and automation.
• Advanced SQL skills with a focus on performance tuning and optimization.
• Experience with TSO/ISPF and mainframe debugging tools.
• Proven track record in large enterprise environments, preferably in banking or finance.
• Deep understanding of transaction processing and batch system operations.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with production issue troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
