Description

You will lead mainframe application support and development while coordinating with distributed system teams. You ensure system stability, meet SLAs, and drive automation and process optimization.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Manage P1/P2 incidents, lead bridge calls, and coordinate with offshore teams for timely resolution.
• Conduct RCA, implement preventive solutions, and drive automation for batch monitoring and incident resolution.
• Perform effort estimation, capacity planning, and resource allocation for features and support work.
• Oversee release management using ChangeMan and ensure compliance with audit and regulatory requirements.
• Guide teams in debugging complex issues across COBOL, CICS, DB2, and MQ, and optimize system performance.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in Mainframe development and support.
• Advanced proficiency in COBOL, JCL, VSAM, DB2, CICS, and MQ.
• Hands-on experience with distributed integration, including REST/SOAP APIs, Microservices, and Java-based applications.
• Proficiency with Control-M, ServiceNow, ChangeMan, Jira, and monitoring tools like Splunk or Dynatrace.
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, including PI Planning and SAFe.
• Experience leading automation initiatives and driving continuous improvement using KPIs and SLAs.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with integrated systems involving Cloud and middleware frameworks.
