Description

You lead mainframe application support and development while coordinating with distributed system teams to ensure stability and SLA compliance.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Manage P1/P2 incidents, lead bridge calls, and coordinate with offshore teams.
• Perform RCA and implement preventive or automated solutions for complex issues.
• Drive automation initiatives for batch monitoring, incident resolution, and deployments.
• Oversee release management using ChangeMan and ensure audit compliance.
• Participate in PI Planning, estimate effort, and guide technical design.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in Mainframe development and support.
• Advanced proficiency in COBOL, CICS, DB2, MQ, JCL, and VSAM.
• Hands-on experience with distributed integration (Java, APIs, Microservices, Cloud).
• Strong knowledge of Control-M, ServiceNow, ChangeMan, and monitoring tools.
• Experience with Agile/SAFe methodologies and PI Planning.
• Proven ability to debug complex cross-system issues.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Splunk, Dynatrace, or AppDynamics.
• Background in DB2 tuning and batch optimization.
