Description

Develop and maintain mainframe applications within an MVS environment. Apply systems analysis and design principles to ensure robust application development and testing.

Responsibilities

• Execute programming tasks using COBOL, JCL, and CICS.
• Manage data requirements and queries using DB2.
• Handle communications protocols and EDI formats, including HIPAA transactions.
• Follow the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodology for all application updates.

Required Skills

• Proficiency in COBOL, JCL, and CICS.
• Experience working within MVS and DB2 environments.
• Hands-on experience with SDLC methodology.
• Knowledge of systems analysis, design, and testing processes.
• Experience with communications protocols such as FTP.
• Experience handling EDI formats and HIPAA transactions (837P, 837I, 835, etc.).

Preferred Skills

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent graduate level education.
