Mainframe Developer AI/GenAI Exp

You will design, develop, and maintain IBM Mainframe applications while driving modernization efforts using AI and Generative AI technologies.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Develop and support mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, VSAM, and IMS.
• Analyze existing applications to identify modernization opportunities and implement AI/GenAI solutions for code analysis and documentation.
• Build AI-powered tools for testing, automation, and application modernization.
• Integrate mainframe systems with cloud platforms, APIs, and AI/ML services.
• Perform impact analysis, code reviews, debugging, and performance tuning in Agile environments.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of hands-on experience in IBM Mainframe development.
• Strong proficiency in COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, VSAM, IMS, and TSO/ISPF.
• Experience with SDLC and Agile methodologies.
• Understanding of REST APIs, microservices, and system integration.
• Knowledge of AI/ML fundamentals and Generative AI technologies.
• Experience working with Large Language Models (LLMs) and AI-assisted development tools.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with IBM Watsonx, OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, or similar AI platforms.
• Familiarity with Python, Java, DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and Git.
• Knowledge of prompt engineering, RAG, and AI governance.
