Description

Design, develop, and maintain complex legacy tax administration systems using mainframe technologies. You will own the full lifecycle of COBOL, DB2, and MQ transformation solutions within a waterfall model.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and document architectural designs for COBOL, DB2, and MQ transformation solutions.
• Develop batch and online tax applications using COBOL-VSAM, COBOL-DB2, and CICS.
• Code JCAL, PROC, ACTNL, and OPDOC for new and existing jobs.
• Perform structured analysis and design to formulate architecture plans.
• Test batch and online software applications to ensure defect-free execution.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in mainframe development.
• Expertise in COBOL, JCL, and DB2.
• Proficiency with VSAM and CICS.
• Experience with MQ, SQL, and OS/390.
• Hands-on use of TSO/ISPF.
• Proficiency with FILEAID, SPUFI, ENDEVOR, XPEDITER, INTERTEST, ABENDAID, and Easytrieve.
• Strong background in structured analysis, design methodologies, and security techniques.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent graduate level education.
