Description

Develop and support business applications on the mainframe platform, bridging legacy systems with modern distributed environments.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Lead disaster recovery efforts for critical business applications.
• Develop solutions in both legacy Mainframe TSO and modern server or container environments.
• Design and implement data processing transformations from mainframe to distributed/cloud microservices.
• Manage high-volume batch processing and file transmission via FTP or NDM.
• Write technical designs and documentation while collaborating on team sessions.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of professional software development experience.
• Proficiency in COBOL and JCL.
• Expertise with DB2, CA7, MQ, and VSAM.
• Working knowledge of Linux, UNIX, and z/OS operating systems.
• Experience developing in both Mainframe TSO and modern Object Oriented environments.
• Ability to work with mainframe development alongside modern containerized architectures.
• Knowledge of high-volume batch processing and file transmission protocols.
