Description

Develop, test, and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, DB2, CICS, and VSAM. You will ensure application stability, performance, and scalability while supporting production issues and performing root cause analysis.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop mainframe applications using COBOL and JCL.
• Maintain and optimize database interactions with DB2 and VSAM.
• Implement transaction processing solutions using CICS.
• Support production environments and resolve technical issues.
• Perform root cause analysis for application defects and performance bottlenecks.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of experience in mainframe development.
• Strong proficiency in COBOL and JCL.
• Hands-on experience with DB2 and CICS.
• Working knowledge of VSAM file structures.
• Proven track record in application maintenance and support.
• Ability to troubleshoot production issues effectively.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with additional mainframe technologies beyond the core stack.
• Background in legacy system modernization projects.
