Description

You will translate analysis and design documents into well-structured programs, maintaining and enhancing custom software on the mainframe.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain COBOL programs, JCL, and batch processing logic.
• Debug, test, and troubleshoot software to identify and correct data errors.
• Support the conversion of COBOL applications to web-based platforms.
• Conduct code reviews and execute test changes to ensure program correctness.
• Prepare program-level and user-level documentation and obtain user sign-off prior to production migration.

Required Skills

• Minimum 8 years of experience in COBOL development on Mainframe.
• Proven experience with DB2, JCL, and Control-M.
• Solid understanding of the full software development life cycle, including design, integration testing, and deployment.
• Strong analytical skills to support non-database functions and develop data analysis reports.
• Experience preparing comprehensive documentation for program and user levels.

Preferred Skills

• Java programming knowledge.
• AWS hands-on experience.
• Postgres DB and Kofax experience.
