Description

You will lead legacy migration initiatives, modernizing mainframe applications to Java, Python, and cloud environments.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Migrate mainframe workloads from on-premise to Azure or MicroFocus, ensuring seamless transition.
• Develop and automate problem statements using Python to streamline the modernization process.
• Triage production issues using standard mainframe tools to maintain system stability.
• Collaborate across the organization to define business requirements and product development lifecycles.
• Document requirements and contribute to Agile ceremonies and team composition planning.

Required Skills

• 8-12 years of experience in Mainframe and Java Modernization.
• Strong proficiency in COBOL, JCL, DB2, IMS, CICS, and VSAM.
• Experience with Java Full Stack Development (FSD) and Python automation.
• Proven track record in Legacy Migration COE (LMCOE) engagements.
• Knowledge of migration patterns: On-Prem to On-Prem, Cloud to Azure, and MicroFocus.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Java/distributed solutions is a strong plus.
