Description

Lead mainframe modernization and legacy migration projects using COBOL, Java, and Python.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Execute legacy migration initiatives from on-premise to Azure or Microfocus environments.
• Develop problem statements and automation scripts using Python.
• Triage production issues using standard mainframe tools and maintain COBOL/CICS/JCL/IMS/DB2 systems.
• Collaborate with distributed teams to define business requirements and manage the product development lifecycle.
• Document requirements and support Agile delivery processes.

Required Skills

• 12+ years of experience in Mainframe and Java Modernization.
• Strong proficiency in COBOL, JCL, DB2, IMS, CICS, VSAM, and MQ.
• Experience with Java Full Stack Development (FSD).
• Hands-on experience with Python for automation and scripting.
• Proven track record in Legacy Migration Center of Excellence (LMCOE) or similar migration roles.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Cloud Migration to Azure.
• Strong knowledge of Java and distributed solutions.
